Update on Centres – Friday 04/03/2022

 

 

Guppy’s Early Learning Centres – Change to S/E QLD Services due to Extreme Weather Event in South-East QLD

 

Due to the continued extreme weather event in S/E QLD, resulting in the isolation of some staff, sporadic power outages and QLD Government announcement today, Guppy’s group has announced the following changes to services for Friday 04/03/2022:

  1. All courtesy bus services will be suspended in S/E QLD…Wulguru and Frenchville bus and childcare services will operate as normal
  2. Childcare Centres will open in S/E QLD and be available to families who are essential workers
  3. The following childcare centres will not open on Friday 04/03/2022:
    1. Guppy’s Early Learning – Beerwah (10 Greber Rd, Beerwah)
    2. Guppy’s Early Learning – Kingston (1 Mary St Kingston)
  4. We will offer care for primary school-aged children, where the centre licence allows and where families would normally utilise vacation / pupil-free daycare where the local primary school is closed
  5. if the weather or events change throughout the day where we are required to close the centre, we will keep all families and relevant stakeholders updated, and families may need to pick up their children from the centre prior to the allotted close time.
